  After 7 years of paying for 2 cars and my home insurance, I’m moving on to another company. My car was hit by another Progressive Insurance holding person- did not help the situation. Wendi Gray did all she could to not pay $1372 (very low in the accident world). She was horrible in her communication & distorted the truth.

  Had a motorcycle stolen and progressive went out of there way to not have to pay out. They lied to me and did what it seems to not have to pay out and the customer service was awful. You would give them a call and leave a message with a promise on the voicemail to get back to you no later than noon the next day. But low and behold you'd have no calls from anyone so you'd call and get another voicemail with again no call back. You're a second class citizen to them and nothing but a claim number so that they can find some way to screw you out of the service you paid for. I've felt with a lot of insurance companies for a lot of different reasons and this is by far the absolute worst company ever. I'd consider looking else where and even paying a little more to have the peace of mind that when something goes wrong you aren't put on the back burner.

  Just got off the phone with WENDI GRAY... this was the worst customer service phone call I have EVER dealt with. She was calling me back for a recording for an accident and was so rude and disrespectful. Progressive has been pretty good in the past but this has pushed me to look else where for insurance. I couldn't be more disappointed. Needless to say I will be contacting her supervisor.

  Let me say that Progressive is a fantastic company. A lot of these reviews are about people that had a bad claims experience. Most people have a very limited understanding of how insurance works, so they tend to have preconceptions. A lot of the preconceptions are reflected in these comments. Progressive has great claims and customer service. If you don't like your claim outcome, GET A LAWYER. If you don't agree with what the customer service rep is saying, ask to talk to someone else. Insurance is a highly regulated industry, rates are subject to change, and they will change.

  I had Progressive for 10 years and after calling in to take a vehicle OFF my policy they raised my rates $70! They said I would be losing the multi car discount which makes no sense because I still had 2 cars on my policy. My policy just ended and they send me my new monthly rates which were insane! I won't mention the company I switched to but their competitor is $269 less per month with more coverage EVERYWHERE including paying for a rental if needed. I only wished I figured this out sooner, this company has definitely taken me for a ride and overcharged the heck out of me for many years! Do your research, and call around before deciding to go with Progressive!
