  I have a six month old son who I brought in to start care here since we just moved to town. When I told the Physicians Assistant that I wanted to do a delayed vaccination schedule, she looked at me like I was out of my mind and told me that she needed to consult with the doctor. She came back with the doctor who asked me again if Garrett had been vaccinated--I explained to her that he hadn't and I wanted to wait until he was one year old to start vaccinations. She told me that I was endangering my child and others and started using scare tactics to persuade me to vaccinate him. She was really aggressive. Nevertheless, I to explained her that I had done my research and there is no risk in waiting to start vaccinations. She continued to use scare tactics, and talk about measles and hepatitis and was really mean about it. After that didn't work, she turned around and whispered to the PA for a minute, then turned back toward me and told me that Garrett would be receiving eight vaccinations today. The PA approached me and tried to take my son right out of my arms. I backed into the corner and practically yelled that I wouldn't let them vaccinated him--by that time I had started crying. The doctor then told me that she would be calling CPS if I did not allow them to vaccinate Garrett. I opened the door and left. This is without a doubt the scariest medical office I have ever been to. It's dirty and disorganized. They expect you to let them make all your care decisions, and if you try to make your own, they will do everything they can to force you to mindlessly take their advice.
