I hope everyone who works at Colorado Parks and Wildlife are ashamed for what happened!!! Seeing that video of the raccoons and what your people did to them.. how they handled them, is beyond saddening!! And the fact that you just went in there and stripped other animals from their medical attention they were receiving is a disgrace!!! The few animals you did release, is a certain death trap and you know it!! You should have worked with the rescue to clear the violations!! They helped the wildlife, unlike you!!! And now, look at the THOUSANDS of people who are completely disgusted with you!!! And we will continue to INCREASE in numbers each and every day!!! You are an ABSOLUTE disgrace to this state and the word WILDLIFE should be STRIPPED from your name!!!!

A warning to any animal lover in Colorado Springs. If you bring an orphaned animal there, they will euthanize the animal most of the time. According to the lady at the front desk, they don't tell people they're going to euthanize the creature, rather than lead the public to believe they are going to bring the animal to a rehab center. The reason they LIE she said is that if they told people they were going to put the animal down, people would try to keep the animals, which is AGAINST the LAW!! Lying and misleading the public is NEVER right. I found a bably squirrel that fell out of a tree during a spring storm -- it appeared to be cold, but not injured. I brought it inside and followed directions to get it warmed up and it started to perk up. I call this place and a man named Steve asked a few questions and said to bring it down when I asked if they could rehabilitate it. He mislead me. When I got down there, he was nowhere to be found (out to Lunch), and the lady at the desk said, "Are you here to euthanize the squirrel?". I'm in SHOCK!!! I thought they would try to assess the animal. When Robin Smith realized I was getting very upset, she backpeddled and said that they would have someone look at the animal. She took the box with the animal away from me and brought it into another room. They are going to KILL that little animal today without even trying to help it! That's not only cruel, it's wrong on many levels. She basically said since taxpayer dollars don't go to fund Dept of Wildlife, they don't answer to anyone -- yet they can enforce the law?? And come to people's houses and arrest or fine them for helping a wild animal?? Something doesn't make sense. But, I plan on reporting this incident and my treatment to the local media and posting on Facebook and other social medial account to expose the horrible things that are going on. It's just a disposable object to you, but it's one of God's creatures. And lying to the public is NEVER right!!!!!

Find a lost wild animal in a busy area of town? Don't bother calling these guys. They say they don't relocate animals and that lots of animals live in the city. Nevermind if they're in the middle of the road in an industrial area away from other animals and safe places to live out their lives. What good is a state division of wildlife if they don't help wildlife anyway?
